Himura Kenshin, the Hitokiri Battosai. He is the lead character of my favorite manga and anime. The Japanese title is Ruru ni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan, which translates to "Romance of the Meiji Swordsman". The English title is Rurouni Kenshin or Samurai X, for the OVA's. An assassin during the Bakumatsu, Kenshin trades his katana for a sakabato - a reverse-blade katana intened for defense or display only. He refused to ever take another life once the war was over. He wandered around and ended up in Meiji, where he met Kamiya Kaoru, with whom he fell in love. Tags: Fan Art |
